Certe volte vaghiamo senza neanche pensare a cosa stiamo facendo, a dove stiamo andando, a cosa cerchiamo. Siamo come sonnambuli, barcollanti nella realtà, ma con la testa ai nostri sogni.
Quando è così, cosa può davvero catturare la nostra attenzione? Cosa può tirarci fuori da questo confuso sonno, risvegliandoci?
La canzone che vi presento oggi parla di “sonnambulismo“, non inteso come un disturbo del sonno vero e proprio, ma come un fastidio o un turbamento nella realtà.
Un’introduzione melodica e una voce urlante, carica di energia e di “sofferenza”, sono i tratti che delineano “Sleepwalking” dei Bring Me The Horizon (tratta dall’album Sempiternal, in uscita questo Aprile). La voce di Oliver Sykes riesce ad imprimere, a mio parere, un valore emotivo non indifferente a questa canzone, tanto che il suo “urlare” non sembra solo uno sfogo, ma anche una rischiesta d’aiuto.
Non saprei dirvi come mai, ma io l’ho trovata estremamente romantica.
Certo, lo scream-metal non è per tutti, ma nonostante io non ami particolarmente questo genere devo dire che questa canzone mi ha colpito molto e
